COVID-19 Update

Updated November 2020
MVPC offers telehealth services for our patients.

MVPC In-Person Patient Engagement Protocol

▪ Patients will text their provider when they arrive at the parking lot.
▪ The provider will text patients when they are available to meet the patient at their designated entrance.
▪ Medical massage patients will enter at the main entrance;
▪ Acupuncture patients will enter at the administrative (southeast)  entrance.
▪ There should only be one patient per provider in the building at a time.
▪ Patients are not allowed in the building without a mask covering their nose and extending around the chin at all times.
▪ Patients will be asked the following questions upon entrance to the MPVC Officer:
o Are you currently waiting for COVID-19 test results?
o Have you been sick or had symptoms of a new or worsening cough, runny nose, or persistent headaches within the last 48 hours?
o Have you had a temperature of 99 degrees or above within the last seven days?
o Are you experiencing shortness of breath?
o Have you traveled outside of the state within the last week?
o Have you been in close contact with anyone who has the above symptoms, is waiting for COVID-19 test results, or has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?

If the patient answers yes to any of these questions, or has a temperature of 99 degrees or greater, they will be asked to leave.  MVPC will reschedule their visit for two weeks out.

Please keep in mind:
▪ Patients should wear masks covering their nose and mouth at all times while at the MVPC office.
▪ Patients will be asked to use hand sanitizer before entering their therapy session.
▪ Patients can only use the patient bathrooms; staff bathrooms are off-limits to patients.
▪ Patients will not be allowed to stay in the waiting area for any amount of time.
▪ Patients’ rides must be ready and waiting after the appointment, or the patient will be asked to wait outside in the covered area.
