Understanding Your Pain Story
(Initial Assessment)

MVPC’s biopsychosocial assessments affords patients an opportunity to communicate—perhaps for the first time—their physical and emotional pain story which is critical in developing cogent treatment plans.  During this initial assessment, the patient’s comfort and safety are vital.  MVPC offers a spa-like safe-haven setting where patients immediately experience a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.  We understand this particular environment is the first place where healing begins and continues throughout the 10-week care program, the 8-week Yoga and Nutrition program, and beyond.

Initial assessments are conducted by a mental health professional and are 90-minutes long.
