MVPC developed psychoeducational “Tool Box” topics to equip patients with useful information they can use which directly impacts their pain experience. Highlighted Tool Box topics include:  Breaking the Pain-Stress Response, Sleep Hygiene, How to Communicate More Effectively with Your Healthcare Provider, and Understanding Pain Medication.  The psychoeducation portion of group begins during the second hour of group, and is facilitated by a mental health professional.
